Magic's Search for Meaning @ Cookery at Girls School
If you could speak directly to your chosen art, what would she say? Would she smile on you like an old friend, or offer you a stinging rebuke? Would she be pleased to claim you as her representative, or would she rather pretend you had never met? Join multi-award-winning magician Michel Fouche as he explores these questions in an interactive theatre experience. More than just a magic show, this is a journey into the very heart of magic to ask: is there still meaning in this ancient art form?

Michel Fouche

Michel Fouché is a talented magician known for his many creatively themed acts ranging from the darkly sensuous to the classically graceful.

After working as an actor and juggler, then gaining a Diploma of Circus Arts from New Zealand’s CPIT, he was selected to teach at the prestigious French Woods Festival of Performing Arts in New York. He has since performed around the world with members of Cirque du Soleil and entertained some of Australia’s most successful companies. He continues to push the boundaries of what magic can be. In 2017, Michel became the only performer to ever win the double prize of the Fred DeCampe Trophy for Creativity in Magic and the People’s Choice award, an achievement he repeated in 2019. Michel is a frequent performer at FRINGE WORLD, the WA Circus Festival.
