Back in August, UK TV magician Dynamo announced his fourth season of ‘Magician Impossible’ will be his last as he plans to “reinvent the live magic show”.

When the four episode series aired in September his live tour was announced for Oct/Dec 2015 and many dates have already sold out.

But so British people wouldn’t suffer withdrawal symptoms from having no magic on TV, back in February 2014 a successor to Dynamo appeared in the form of TROY.

A NEW magic show on E4 showcasing the talents of magician Troy Von Schreiber gave the channel one of its most successful launches for an original commission last night.

The series Troy, which sees the Londoner performer use everyday objects and situations to baffle and amaze unsuspecting members of the public, was watched by an average of 800,000 viewers last night (Feb 11).

It bettered other launches of fellow TV tricksters such as Tricked and Dynamo, who claimed 738,000 and 710,000 on their respective shows.

Troy was E4’s third highest original launch ever and the best for five years.
