Sign up now – learn magic!
Magicians at Work is coming back for 2020 to Arts Centre Melbourne and with it is the very popular program for kids – AIM JUNIORS.
AIM Juniors is an initiative of The Australian Institute of Magic created to encourage and develop young performers in the art of magic, to see them perform confidently in front of an audience.
Magicians under the age of 18 meet monthly sharing their passion for magic with other budding magicians, to learn skills from professional magician Josh Staley.
It is aimed at young magicians of any skill level, including students with an interest in learning more about the world of magic!
Each session includes a segment on learning new magic, followed by a segment focused on developing each student’s favourite trick, preparing them with a magic act to perform at the end of semester performances.
Students will learn about showmanship, stagecraft and build confidence to perform their tricks in front of an audience. The goal for each semester is to develop a short magic act to perform at the Melbourne Magic Festival (July 2020) and another act smaller close-up act at the end of year Exhibition (December 2020).
AIM Juniors runs once a month at the The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne, from 5:30pm until 7.00pm. The first session is WEDNESDAY February 12th 2020.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch, or visit one of the awesome restaurants, coffee shops, or benches around Southgate then come back at 7pm.
